Ms. Von Hagen's practice is concentrated in the areas of estate planning and estate administration, the preparation of wills and trusts, will and trust litigation, guardianship proceedings, premarital agreements, and the division of retirement benefits. She is an experienced family law attorney and therefore also provides critical support to the family law division of the firm. Her family law and litigation background adds important experience and perspective in assisting clients to plan their personal and financial affairs. Ms. Von Hagen is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (B.A. 1989 with distinction and highest honors) and the University of North Carolina School of Law (J.D. 1993). She is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association (Estate Planning and Fiduciary Law Section) and of the Durham/ Orange Estate Planning Council.
